The pack takes the EQT Lacing and the Tubular Doom and portrays them in a fresh light. FRUITION and OVERKILL discussed use of tweed in iconic French couture, determining to express this through colorway and fabric choices for their collaborative design. Further, both partners communicated a strong desire to create footwear that articulates rebellion, individuality and empowerment. The overall aim was to juxtapose high fashion with the energy of modern womanhood.

Drawing from archive adidas designs from the early millennium, the A//D (adidas Parallel Dimension) series tells the story of the discovery of an alternate Universe following the appearance of a massive black-hole in outer space. Through a number of expeditions into the parallel dimension, researchers find that the two worlds are virtually identical, with the exception of minor aesthetic differences.

The sport inspired “Helsinki Run” Pack consists of two Fusion 2.0s and an Aria. The upper of the Fusion 2.0 feature brighter pigskin suede overlays at the heel and toe cap while the Aria is a solid smoke green pigskin suede. The two color ways of the Fusion 2.0 feature a speckled EVA midsole as a special detail. The Aria’s clean lines, color blocking and mono-sock construction make it an easy shoe for everyday use.

This month, adidas Consortium and Highs and Lows complete an EQT trilogy. In 2014, the first collaboration with the Australian footwear retailer resulted in an EQT Guidance 93. In late 2016 Highs and Lows worked on an EQT Support 93 inspired by Frankenstein cars and the Australian outback. Their final installment in the series is a luxurious rendition of the EQT Support ADV.

The END. x Bodega Pack examines adidas’ rich history while simultaneously questioning the future of athletic footwear. Vintage sneaker connoisseurs will be thrilled by the revival of the Haven - a 1970s running classic - which here receives luxurious make over in a soft suede. Rather than simply altering materials or colorways, Avenue has demonstrated a bold ethos in its treatment of the EQT Support. By toying with traditions and allowing different cultures to clash, Avenue has enlivened the model with a fresh approach. The retailer selected aniline leather - often used to upholster luxury furniture - for the model’s outer. Soft and sleek when left smooth, it is complemented with embroideries woven directly into the leather, heavily reminiscent of patterns often featured in Scandinavian fabric design.

The pack features two models: the EQT Support ADV and the EQT Support Future, titled “Coat of Arms” as the color palette - red, black and white – is a reference to Kreuzberg’s traditional emblem. Despite opening a decade after the EQT Support was first released as a running shoe, OVERKILL holds a long-held love for this particular model and range, being among the stores heavily responsible for the its renaissance. Via events, showcases and previous collaborations, OVERKILL has been assisting the EQT's revival among the new generation of sneaker enthusiasts and veterans alike who are looking for both heritage and a powerful aesthetic.

The two stores had never interacted before Consortium linked them up for the Sneaker Exchange. Their challenge was, once again, to find common ground to deliver a stunning design concept for this series. The partners present a PureBOOST and an updated Climacool in a novel Primeknit execution. Both styles are striking in the use of the knit technology with a completely new take on branding and detailing.

The Paavo Nurmi Games (PNG) is a Finnish track and field event that attracts top international talent to Nurmi’s hometown of Turku, Finland.
